Telecasters Masters

So today I just finished building my Telecaster and I got to thinking about telecaster players and I as usual thought of my main telecaster influence Steve "The Cornal" Cropper. Then I thought of this video I had seen him in; perhaps some people will enjoy it.
Oh and here is my tele.
Oh and here is my tele.

When you say "built" did you do it yourself from scratch? My daughter built a Les Paul(ish) style guitar last year (http://www.flickr.com/photos/daviddmuir/sets/72157605583326700/) which was great fun and the guitar is gorgeous. There's something really special about starting off with lumps of wood and ending with a beautiful instrument.

Actually it is a partscaster. I think that it is special and if I had the time to build a guitar I would. Best of all my tele is the best guitar color, Surf Green (if it is good enough for Jeff Beck). I did once try to refinish a strat but it turned into a disaster.
The course my daughter did was a "Build a guitar in five days" course. Absolutely brilliant - from lumps of wood to working instrument in five days.
